Pinehurst occupies former agricultural land on a viewsite overlooking the Durbanville Hills and the Simonsberg. Its two earlier stages, both gated villages, Summerwood and Longwood, consisted of 350 and 280 separate title houses respectively. All have been sold and occupied.
